Kike

A derogatory term used against Jewish populations; in short, an ethnic slur. Though there is no exact origin of the term, there are many theories as to where it derived from. The most popular theory is that the term kike came from the Yiddish word for circle, or “kikel,” which is a reference to how Jewish immigrants at Ellis Island signed their entry forms – a circle as opposed to an ‘X’, which Jewish people associated with Christianity.

The term kike is a highly offensive slur to those of Jewish faith and should be avoided completely.
