Half-Breed

An offensive term for a person with parents of different races. It was first known to be used in the mid-eighteenth century to describe children with North American and white European ancestry; however, over time, the term has evolved into a tool for racial discrimination. Significantly, the term half-breed should be avoided for it dehumanizes people of two racial backgrounds, seemingly comparing them to animals.
